Order to build a RoRo ferry plus option for a second RoRo ferry for Flensburger Schiffbaugesellschaft

Premiere in Flensburg: The Flensburger Schiffbaugesellschaft (FSG) receives its first order since the new start under the direction of Tennor Holding. IVP Ship Invest orders a RoRo ferry for completion in April 2022. At the same time, the customer also places an option for a second vessel. The order has a total volume of 140 million euros.

IVP Ship Invest is a company of Lars Windhorst, founder of Tennor Holding. “This order is an important building block for the future of the Flensburg shipyard”, says FSG CEO Philipp Maracke. “Construction is scheduled to start in December. With the implementation of the order we are proving FSG’s ability to act. I know how much our 360 employees are looking forward to finally being able to develop and build highly efficient vessels again. Lars Windhorst has thus kept his promise to support the FSG in a difficult situation.”

The commissioned 210-metre long ship is characterised by the most innovative technology “made in Germany”: even before the new start of FSG, the market-wide unmatched low fuel consumption as well as the efficiency of the unique loading concept had already convinced numerous well-known RoRo shipping companies to rely on ships from Flensburg. “We will continue to expand our innovative lead in order to address the issue of zero emissions and achieve ecological and economic market leadership in special shipbuilding,” CEO Philipp Maracke
